I'm the founder of Koba Money, Ltd. Koba is a financial agent that lives inside iMessage. Friends, couples, roommates and travellers already coordinate money in their group chats, but the real work is scattered across receipts, banking apps, spreadsheets and awkward reminders. You add Koba to the conversation and talk to it normally. It reads a receipt, records who paid, splits the expense, tracks balances, reminds the right person and coordinates settlement, without pushing the group into a new app.

Before Koba I built Philo, a thinking journal, as its only engineer. It has 65,000 lifetime users, $34K ARR, 18,000 monthly active users, and 58% day-7 retention with no paid acquisition. Its semantic vector search covers 20,000 quotes and returns in under 500 ms without calling a third-party ML API.

This past summer I was a Software Engineer Intern at BC Housing. I shipped six React and TypeScript features for a housing management application used by 80 staff, cut initial page load from 3.2s to 1.8s, and raised frontend test coverage from 54% to 81%.

I'm a retired hackathon spammer. I led Index Competitive Club at UAlberta from 2023 to 2025. We took 23 wins, 47 podiums, and over $20K in prizes.

I'm in my final year of Computing Science at the University of Alberta, with a minor in Philosophy. I was selected from 250 applicants for the dry lab team on UAlberta's iGEM 2026 team, competing in Paris, and I was the only person from my school at Y Combinator Startup School 2026. When I build, I try to make things simple, calm, and exactly right.
